All dogs in the City of Grass Valley over four months of age are required by City Ordinance to be licensed. All pot-bellied pigs are required to be licensed.

Non-spayed/neutered dogs $19.00

At the time of the licensing, all dogs must have a current RABIES VACCINATION CERTIFICATE. This vaccination is state-mandated and is required prior to licensing.
A license must be purchase every year. The licensing year runs from January 1st through December 31st.
Upon licensing, a metal tag is issued. This tag must be attached to the dogs collar, harness, or other device, and worn whenever the dog is outside a dwelling or enclosed yard.
