The Grass Valley Police Department is a full-service, community policing organization with 31 sworn and civilian staff which provide police services for the City. There are also 8 reserve officers and currently a 12 member volunteer program.

Operating out of a modern police facility at 129 South Auburn St., the department features a 24-hour dispatch center, uniformed patrol, an investigations unit, a recognized Special Incident Team and model community policing programs.

Our Mission: The Grass Valley Police Department is dedicated to providing
effective and courteous community policing services while preserving the legal
rights of all individuals and reducing the impact of crime.
